I was born and raised on a farm in the middle of central Kansas, second oldest of five boys born to Dennis and Kathy Rolfs. My high school graduating class had 20 students in it. I participated in as much as was available and offered during my younger years in a very small and very rural area: 4-H, church group, youth sports and camps, school band and theatre, class government, and such. However, somewhere along the way, sports seemed to become a leading passion ...and they are still to this day. If I am not coaching at any given moment, whether in school or my own young children, I am, most likely, participating or watching some sporting event. Of course, growing up where and how I did, how could I not also enjoy hunting and fishing. So, in a nutshell, I love the thrill and challenge of competition and I love the outdoors.
Go GP! Go K-State! Go KU! Go WSU! Go Royals! Go Chiefs! ...and yes, I can root for them all.
