The Flash Flood Watch continues for * portions of Central Kansas, South Central Kansas, and Southeast Kansas, including the following areas, in Central Kansas, Barton, Chase, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Marion, McPherson, Rice, Russell, and Saline. In South Central Kansas, Butler, Cowley, Harper, Harvey, Kingman, Reno, Sedgwick, and Sumner. In Southeast Kansas, Elk and Greenwood. * Through Monday evening. * Scattered to numerous thunderstorms with very heavy rain are expected this evening and overnight mainly northwest of the Kansas Turnpike. Additional scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected Monday afternoon and evening across central and eastern portions of Kansas. * Low lying areas, low water crossings, and other poor drainage areas that typically flood are expected to have flood issues during this time frame. Additionally, areas that received significant rainfall this past week will have an increased risk of flooding. * Furthermore, modest rises on area rivers and streams are likely, which could support some river flood warnings. Worst case scenario rainfall brings numerous river forecast points into minor and moderate flooding across central and eastern Kansas.
