Professional Experience

Current Position:

I have taught at Garden Plain Elementary since 2002. Previously taught three years in Oskaloosa, Kansas and one year at ElDorado High School. My field of teaching is K-12 Physicall education\ Health Education\Psychology with a K-6 classroom endorsment.  I have taught Middle School Social Studies and a classroom of 5th graders throughout my years at GPE.  Each grade level has their own unique personalities.  I enjoy the variety but partial to my middle schoolers.

Family Information:

I reside on a farm east of Garden Plain. I continue to farm and run a cattle operation with the help of our oldest son, Tim, who also has a custom hay and swathing business. Our son, Eddie, is a business teacher and coach at Goddard High School . His wife,Jana, is a physical therapist at Harter Physical Therapy in Goddard.and they have three  girls, Hazel, Nora.and Ruby.  Our son, Rick,is self- employed and ranches in Pawhuska, Oklahoma along with his wife, Katelyn.   They have two children, Raelynn and Rhett. Our daughter, Julie, took a position as a learning specialist at Oklahoma University, and our youngest son, Robert, is a PE/Health teacher and coach at South Haven High School soon to be married this November.

Personal Information:

In my spare time I enjoy being Grandma, working jigsaw puzzles, watching movies,and listening to music.
