2026 GPMS Football

First Week Practice Changes (due to heat):
Monday, August 17, 3:45-5:45 pm
Tuesday, August 18 – Friday, August 21, 6:30-7:30 am

Heat: If it’s too hot by KSHSAA standards for us to practice in the afternoon we will then do so early in the morning. If that must happen, coaches will communicate that change as soon as possilble via ParentSquare.

Equipment Needed: cleats, mouthpiece, girdle (at least 1, suggest 2).

Note: Per official league changes, several game dates have a start time of 5:00 pm this year. Also, based upon our numbers signed up, we will try to play a 5th quarter (extra time for those that don’t play much) or 2 games (a-team and b-team) on each date as often as possible. However, this will be dependent on the opposing schools participation numbers and ability/willingness to do so.

All athletes must have a current physical on file in the office and have met the state pre-season education requirements (concussion meeting) before they can practice.
